Speech Title: The Invisible Foundation Called “Stability"
(The In-VI-zi-b’l Foun-DAY-shun Called Sta-BIL-i-tee)
Hello, everyone.
(He-LO, EV-ree-wun.)
I believe that stability is the ultimate form of happiness—one that maximizes human potential.
(I be-LEEV that sta-BIL-i-tee is the UL-ti-mit form of HAP-i-nes—wun that MAX-i-my-zez HU-man po-TEN-shul.)
Generally, when people hear the word “stability," they might imagine a dull, unchanging life
(JEN-er-a-lee, when PEE-p’l heer the wurd sta-BIL-i-tee, they myt i-MA-jin a dull, un-CHAYN-jing lyf)
or a comfortable rut of staying in their comfort zone.
(or a KUM-for-ta-b’l rut of STAY-ing in their KUM-fort zohn.)
Some might even argue that settling for stability is a self-imposed limitation.
(Sum myt EE-ven AR-gyoo that SET-ling for sta-BIL-i-tee is a self-im-POH-zd lim-i-TAY-shun.)
However, is that really the case?
(How-EV-er, iz that REE-lee the kays?)
The reason we can talk about our dreams for tomorrow and boldly challenge new things
(The REE-zun we kan tawk a-BOWT our dreemz for to-MOR-oh and BOHLD-lee CHAL-enj new thingz)
is precisely because we have a solid foundation of a stable life and peace of mind at our core.
(is pre-SYS-lee be-KAWZ we hav a SOL-id foun-DAY-shun of a STAY-b’l lyf and pees of mynd at our kor.)
Just imagine: if someone cannot even guarantee their next meal and lives in a state of extreme instability,
(Just i-MA-jin: if SUM-wun kan-not EE-ven gar-an-TEE their next meel and livz in a stayt of ek-STREEM in-sta-BIL-i-tee,)
they would have to spend all their energy just to survive today.
(they wood hav to spend awl their EN-er-jee just to sur-VYV to-DAY.)
How could they have the mental space to look forward to future possibilities?
(How kood they hav the MEN-tul spays to look FOR-ward to FU-chur pos-i-BIL-i-teez?)
The place that allows us to spread our wings with peace of mind—and a place we can always return to—
(The plays that a-LOWZ us to spred our wingz with pees of mynd—and a plays we kan AWL-wayz re-TURN to—)
is the “secure base" called stability.
(is the se-KYOOR bays kalled sta-BIL-i-tee.)
It is precisely because of this absolute sense of security that we can face risks and take that brave first step.
(It is pre-SYS-lee be-KAWZ of this AB-so-loot sens of se-KYOOR-i-tee that we kan fays risks and tayk that brayv furst step.)
Therefore, true stability is never about blindly following rules or refusing to move forward.
(THER-for, troo sta-BIL-i-tee is NEV-er a-BOWT BLYND-lee FOL-oh-ing roolz or re-FYOO-zing to moov FOR-ward.)
It means having an unshakeable core within yourself that never falls,
(It meenz HAV-ing an un-SHAY-ka-b’l kor with-IN your-SELF that NEV-er fawlz,)
even amidst the waves of this rapidly changing era.
(EE-ven a-MIDST the wayvz of this RAP-id-lee CHAYN-jing ER-a.)
To live a life with this strong pillar, moving forward with a calm mind yet bold steps—
(To liv a lyf with this strong PIL-ar, MOOV-ing FOR-ward with a kahm mynd yet bohld steps—)
isn’t this a form of true happiness that nothing else can replace?
(iz-n’t this a form of troo HAP-i-nes that NUTH-ing els kan re-PLAYS?)
That is why I firmly believe that stability is not a limitation born of mediocrity,
(That is why I FURM-lee be-LEEV that sta-BIL-i-tee is not a lim-i-TAY-shun born of mee-dee-OK-ri-tee,)
but the best kind of happiness to carry us into the future.
(but the best kynd of HAP-i-nes to KAR-ee us IN-too the FU-chur.)
Thank you very much.
(Thank you VER-ee much.)
